Hi, I'm Braddley

Everyone is new or struggles at some point; I remember picking up a camera for the first time and having no idea where to begin. Information was over and across the board and often more confusing than helpful. The learning curve appeared straight up.

Based on decades behind a lens, the Beginner Series is an effort to shorten the learning curve and provide an easier entry into photography — whatever your interest and without ego.

Amazing class with an amazing instructor. It’s such a great feeling knowing how to properly work my camera now, and my pictures have definitely improved because of it. So grateful for this class. I highly recommend Braddley to anyone wanting to know more about photography! So helpful and patient. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

HANDS-ON LEARNING

I’m a visual learner, which is why I loved the Beginner Photography class. I’ve had my camera for years, but in just a few weeks, I knew it better than I ever had. Manuals and online reading can only do so much for me. It took the hands-on learning to show me the real potential of my camera. Taking a photography class is kind of like learning a new language. Now things like exposure, ISO, aperture, and shutter speed actually mean something, and I get to use them to make my pictures brighter and sharper than they ever were.

BEST PRESENT EVER

I was gifted this course for Christmas and it has been one of the best presents I've ever received. This course was GREAT and I feel much more confident in what I'm doing. The pure passion exhibited by Braddley made class all the more fun. He loves photography and you can tell he genuinely loves teaching others. I learned so much and thoroughly enjoyed all of the classes as well as the practice outing. I live several hours from Columbus and my drive was more than worth it! I'm looking forward to taking Beginner TWO!

INFECTIOUS ENTHUSIASM

I have owned a DSLR for years, but had no idea how to take a picture other than on Auto. I just finished the Beginner One class and Braddley is fantastic! I finally know what all the settings mean and how to use them to take great pictures. Class is always fun, the material is presented in an understandable way, and he is so helpful! I thought I can learn photography watching YouTube videos, reading books etc!! Boy was I wrong.... Like with any art, it is very important to have a mentor help you take those first steps that form the foundation you can build upon. This is what Bradley did for me in the beginner class I took at Shutterbug. He understands what the beginner is looking for and makes sure we understand the concepts well by giving examples and taking pictures during the classes.

I SO enjoyed this class! I had my camera a year, watched so many youtube videos, read blogs, etc and never quite “got it”, needless to say I was getting “ok” photos even in Auto mode. This program is set up for you to succeed! Braddley is professional, knowledgeable on various cameras, so down to earth, and gets on your level. The outings are a great place to practice what you have learned, ask questions, and get help/criticism as needed! Thank you so much for your help! Looking forward to more classes and outings!

This class was amazing! I went in knowing absolutely nothing about photography or how to use my camera and by the end of class I had a better understanding of both. He is very patient and takes the time to work with each student so they understand what he is teaching. WORTH EVERY PENNY

I just finished Beginner ONE and it was worth every penny. I’ve taken an embarrassing amount of beginner classes, and each one gave me some learnings, but Shutterbug Training excels in actually educating you. Not only did I manage to break through the tech-talk, but I am also using the lessons in reality. Why did this happen you may ask? Previous instructors had plenty of expertise, but couldn’t impart their knowledge to a student. Knowing and instructing are two separate skills. Braddley did both very well. Thank you!

I recently purchased a camera and quickly realized I had no idea how to use it. The user’s manual explained how to use its settings, but not why and when to use them. I enrolled in Beginner ONE because of the great reviews it’s received—they're accurate! Braddley is an energetic instructor and excellent communicator. His classes are well organized, easily understood and well-paced. I’ve continued with Beginner TWO and now have an enjoyable new hobby. If you want better pictures, I encourage you to consider these classes.

Loved the class, the workbook really helped me in understanding things I just couldn't grasp on my own. The class is small enough so that if needed, the instructor was able to help. Braddley is just super helpful altogether, and the biggest perk is that I can retake the class at no cost.
